PACCAR Incorporated "PACCAR" is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Peterbilt 220 and Kenworth K300 trucks manufactured September 1, 2014, to March 30, 2015. Each time the cruise control speed decrease button is pressed, the vehicle speed will actually increase by one mile per hour.
If a driver is intending to slow down a vehicle but instead it inadvertently speeds up, there is an increased risk of a crash.
PACCAR will notify owners, and dealers will update the cab controller software, free of charge. The recall began on June 5, 2015. Owners may contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4000, or Kenworth customer service at 1-425-828-5000. PACCAR's numbers for this recall are 415-E and 15KWC.
