Ford Motor Company "Ford" is recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vehicles equipped with the Transit Trail package. The tires may contact the front wheel arch liner and body flange, causing damage to the tires.
Damaged tires may experience a sudden loss of air pressure or tread separation, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the tires, tire placard, and certification label, and also recalibrate the vehicle, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed April 4, 2024. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available.
