VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH DANA SPECIALITY AXLE TS6 TAG AXLES. HUB OVERLOAD CAN CAUSE PREMATURE BEARING FAILURE AT BETWEEN 12,000 AND 20,000 MILES. |

Consequence:
THIS FAILURE COULD RESULT IN THE WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY BECOMING DISCONNECTED FROM THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. |

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REVISED TAG AXLE SUSPENSION ARRANGEMENT TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. ALSO, AT INTERVALS OF 7,500 MILES, OWNERS ARE REQUESTED TO ARRANGE TO HAVE THE TAG AXLE WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACED AT A DEALERSHIP OR CALL NEWELL TO ISSUE AUTHORIZATION TO HAVE THESE BEARINGS CHANGED IN A SERVICE FACILITY IN THE FIELD AT NEWELL'S EXPENSE. |
