Daimler Trucks North America, LLC "DTNA" is recalling certain 2023 Thomas Built Buses SAF-T-LINER C2 JOULEY school buses. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.
An unexpected shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the battery pack, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-960.
