Navistar, Inc. "Navistar" is recalling certain 2018 IC bus CE transit buses equipped with 8.8L liquid propane gas "LPG" engines. The LPDM relay for the propane booster pump and the scavenge pump may intermittently fail, causing the fuel pump to stop.
If the fuel pump stops, the bus will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the LPDM relay, free of charge. The recall began on April 12, 2018. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 18502.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 'TTY 1-800-424-9153', or go to www.safercar.gov.
