Forest River, Inc. "Forest River" is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ameralite Cargo trailers. The welded trailer drawbars may be insufficient for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating "GVWR", which can cause the drawbars to fracture.
Fractured drawbars can cause a loss of trailer control and increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the drawbars, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 1, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-848-1335. Forest River's number for this recall is 24-1592.
