Ford Motor Company "Ford" is recalling certain 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with Connected Touch Radios "CTR". The rearview camera image may freeze when the vehicle is in reverse.
An inoperative rearview camera display can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will update the Connected Touch Radio "CTR" software, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 27, 2024. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S59.
