GENERAL MOTORS CAMPAIGN NO.77C2.POSSIBILITY THAT A MALFUNCTION OF THECRUISE CONTROL VACUUM SOLENOID VALVE MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED ENGINEACCELERATION WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH IN ANY OF THE THREE POSITIONS.SIMILARLY, A MALFUNCTION OF THE CRUISE CONTROL ELECTRICAL CONTROLLER MAY RESULTIN AN UNEXPECTED ENGINE ACCELERATION WHEN CONTROL SWITCH IS IN "AUTO" OR"CRUISE" POSITION WHETHER OR NOT THE CRUISE CONTROL LOCKIN BUTTON HAS BEENACTUATED.'CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND DEACTIVATE SYSTEM UNTIL PARTS AREAVAILABLE.WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, REPAIRS WILL BE MADE BY REPLACING CRUISECONTROL VACUUM SOLENOID VALVE BY INSTALLING AN OVERRIDE CIRCUIT, ANDREACTIVATING THE SYSTEM.'
