VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.8 LITER V-6 ENGINES ANDCRUISE CONTROL.SYSTEM: FUEL SYSTEM; CRUISE CONTROL ROD.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: IF THROTTLE JAMMING OCCURS, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT SLOWWHEN THE DRIVER REMOVES HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. LOSS OF VEHICLECONTROL, WITHOUT WARNING, COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.NOTE: OWNERS ARE CAUTIONED TO HANDLE A THROTTLE JAM BY SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL ANDBRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP OUT OF THE LINE OF TRAFFIC. |
