BMW of North America, LLC "BMW" is recalling certain 2024 XM vehicles. The tailgate panel may detach from the mounting structure due to improper adhesive bonding that occurred during manufacturing.
A panel that detaches from a vehicle can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the tailgate panel as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 17, 2024. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
