Summary:
ON CERTAIN TRUCKS DISTRIBUTED BY DODGE OR FREIGHTLINER AND EQUIPPED WITH A TIRE VALVE, TR600, ON 16" TIRES, THE VALVE CAN DEVELOP CRACKS WITHIN THE RUBBER PART OR BETWEEN THE METAL PART AND THE RUBBER PART OF THE VALVE STEM. |

Consequence:
SUCH CRACKING MAY LEAD TO A LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE AT THE VALVE STEM, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. |

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TIRE VALVES ON ALL SPRINTER VEHICLES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 4, 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403. |
