Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC "Bendix" is recalling certain Brake Lights, Model DCM-BB and part number 10049991. The connection between the brake pedal and brake light switch may bind, causing the brake lights to illuminate continuously, or fail to illuminate when the brake is applied.
Brake lights that do not operate as intended can cause confusion to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Bendix will work with the vehicle manufacturer to provide replacement part kits, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 21, 2022. Owners may contact Bendix customer service at 1-877-345-9526.
